The NHS provides free health care for most people, but some services are not covered by NHS payments to the practice. GPs may, at their discretion, offer additional services (such as private medicals, HGV medicals, taxi medicals, gun license applications and renewals, visa applications etc.) that they charge for.
Your doctor, secretarial or admin staff should inform you of any charges before this work is carried out. From 1st September 2022, all non-NHS work will need to be paid for in advance. Once payment has been received, an appointment will be made. Those appointments booked in before this date will be unaffected. This has been made necessary by the number of patients booking medicals and then failing to attend.

We have a number of rooms at Holsworthy Medical Centre used by clinicians providing private treatments and appointments. At the moment we are hosting a chiropractor and a hearing specialist. See below for details.
Dr Claudia Pheasant-Green (DC)
Claudia has shown a keen interest in all sport since a young age. She swam with City of Cardiff Swim Club, taking part in competitions both at home and abroad. On commencing the Welsh institute of Chiropractic (WIOC), she took up playing and umpiring lacrosse, as well as Crossfit. She now regularly takes part in Crossfit and has taken part in a number of Crossfit competitions both in her home Crossfit gym, and across the country.
Having graduated in 2020 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, with a Master of Chiropractic degree, Claudia has taken further a qualification in dry needling.
Claudia has a special interest in caring for children and pregnant women. She wishes to further her knowledge and practical skills as a Chiropractor by undertaking further training and development in Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Cranial courses, Pregnancy & Chiropractic and Paediatrics courses.
