DEMENTIA CARE ADMIRAL NURSES

For anyone with a medical diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who are supported and developed by Dementia UK. They provide life-changing support for families affected by all kinds of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Seated exercise group, with exercise to music. Donations encouraged and attendees need to bring own water. All ages welcomed.

Support agency for anyone who is an unpaid carer, regularly supporting a family member, loved one, friend and/or neighbour, who is unable to care for themselves. Training for carers also available. Devon Carers are NOT a care agnecy.

STEADY ON YOUR FEET

Steady on your Feet is a community-based strength and balance programme, which is evidenced to prevent falls.  The programme is aimed at those aged 65 and over who are deemed to be at heightened risk of falling, and is delivered over 24 weeks. After each session there will be light refreshments and time to chat with others in the group.

At local venues including Holsworthy Memorial Hall from 3rd November 2023, 1.30pm to 3pm.
